Raised on a rural Texas ranch, my childhood was marked by solitude that afforded me ample time to become absorbed in painting and drawing. My companions were made up of chickens and sheep, and I began to create to replicate the denizens of the land that I saw around me.
As an undergraduate at Texas State University, I developed a passion for sacred art spanning from the Medieval era to the Renaissance. This background was transformative to my practice, my creative efforts are deeply informed by historical and contemporary influences.
At present, I am focused on pursuing diligence in my studies of the fugitive presence of light while exploring themes of union in my work.
